Kurt Hoffman was weakened from a bout with pneumonia when he arrived at Garden Terrace at Overland Park, Kansas, on July 21, 2016.
Hoffman needed moderate assistance with bathing and some assistance with walking, transferring from one surface to another, standing, sitting and getting dressed. He had some trouble communicating and swallowing as well.
After Betty Fegley had colon surgery, she needed rehabilitation before she could go home to her husband, Didrick.
She had also fallen at the hospital, and she was at high risk of falling again. On Aug. 18, 2016, Fegley arrived at Garden Terrace at Overland Park, Kansas.
